- Professional History: Employment history, education, and qualifications found on public networks (e.g., LinkedIn, company websites).
- Content & Publications: Articles, blog posts, white papers, and other creative works attributed to you.
- Social Links: Publicly accessible social media profiles and websites.
Account Information
When you create an account to manage your profile, we collect:
- Contact Data: Email address.
- Security Data: Password (stored as a secure hash).
- Profile Edits: Any corrections, additions, or modifications you make to your generated profile.
Payment Information
We use Stripe, a third-party payment processor, to handle payments. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe processes your payment information in accordance with their privacy policy.
Usage Data
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Service. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, and information about how and when you use our Service.
Visitor Intelligence Data
When someone visits a profile or article page on Visipage, we may use third-party services (specifically RB2B/Retention.com) to identify business visitors using publicly available business contact information. Data collected may include: visitor's name, job title, company name, business email address, LinkedIn profile URL, and the specific page(s) visited. This information is provided to the profile owner to help them understand who is engaging with their content. Visitor identification data is retained for up to 12 months and then automatically purged.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for various purposes, including to:
- Generate & Optimize Profiles: To create AI-readable, structured data (JSON-LD) profiles that enhance your visibility on search engines and AI platforms.
- Search Engine Submission: To submit your verified profile to major search engines (Google, Bing) and indexing services for faster discovery.
- Service Improvement: To train and improve our AI models, algorithms, and service quality.
- Account Management: To manage your registration, login, and subscription status.
- Communication: To send you administrative information, such as updates to our terms, conditions, and policies, or transactional emails via Resend.
- Visitor Analytics for Profile Owners: To provide profile owners with insights about business professionals who view their profiles and articles, helping them understand their audience and engage with interested parties.
3. Public Nature of Profiles
Important: The profiles generated by Visipage are designed to be public. They are built from information that is already publicly available on the internet. By using our service, you acknowledge that the purpose of Visipage is to aggregate, structure, and optimize this public information for broader visibility.
You retain full control over your claimable profile. You can edit, hide, or remove information from your Visipage profile at any time through your dashboard.
4. Third-Party Services
We may share information with the following third-party vendors and service providers who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work:
- OpenAI: We use OpenAI's API to process public data and generate natural language summaries and structured data.
- Stripe: For payment processing and subscription management.
- Google & Bing: We submit profile URLs and sitemaps to these search engines for indexing.
- Resend: For sending transactional emails (e.g., password resets, welcome emails).
- RB2B (Visitor Intelligence): We use RB2B to identify business visitors to our platform using publicly available business contact information. Data collected includes: name, job title, company, business email, LinkedIn URL, and pages visited. This data is retained for 12 months and is only shown to the respective profile owner and authorized admins. You can opt out at https://app.retention.com/optout.
5. Data Storage & Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. Your data is stored in secure databases with restricted access. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms before storage.
However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access & Correction: You can access and edit your profile data directly through your account dashboard.
- Deletion: You can request the deletion of your account and associated profile data.
- Opt-Out: You can unpublish your profile at any time, removing it from public view on our platform. Note that search engines may take some time to de-index cached versions of your page.
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the "sale" of personal information. Sharing visitor identification data with profile owners may constitute a "sale" under CCPA. To exercise opt-out rights, visit the RB2B opt-out at https://app.retention.com/optout. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information.
